Iñigo Iriarte

Dr. Iñigo Iriarte is a physician specialized in musculoskeletal ultrasound, with extensive experience in clinical practice and medical education.


He is the author of a widely used musculoskeletal ultrasound textbook that has been incorporated into residency and fellowship training programmes, including at leading academic institutions.


He is also part of the medical services of Athletic Club Bilbao, where musculoskeletal ultrasound is routinely applied in the assessment and management of elite athletes.


His teaching approach emphasizes anatomical understanding, structured scanning protocols and clinical reasoning, with a strong focus on reproducibility in daily practice.


Accreditation & CME

This programme is accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) of the UEMS.


Physicians who complete the course are awarded 2.5 European CME Credits (ECMEC®s).


Through a formal agreement between the UEMS (EACCME®) and the American Medical Association (AMA), US physicians may convert EACCME® credits into an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.

Credit conversion is requested individually by the physician through the AMA.
